What is Sound Meditation?

 

We are all energetic beings. Sound waves create vibrational energy which can enter and affect our body on a cellular level.  Sound meditation involves listening to different vibrations from singing bowls or other instruments that send out frequencies while being in a safe comfortable space.

 

"The right vibrations will bring harmony back into your body and mind, clearing any blockages that prevent an optimum state of health and happiness. Sound can bring about deep healing from trauma and open up energy pathways and centers, known as meridians and chakras. Sound healing's benefits even go so far as to lower blood pressure, make chronic pain more bearable, and aid in deep sleep."* 

 

When something upsets the vibrational patterns of our body, the cells retain a memory of the event, and the energy becomes stagnant, which can cause long-term emotional problems. Sound is one of the most important tools in healing. The right vibrations can restore the balance, calm down our nervous system,  so that healing can take place, and intuition can come through. 

 

When we meditate in sound, we simply listen. We don't need to do anything. Just listen. Our body will relax, our mind will rest, and our heart will open.
